As an environmentally conscious organization, our main activities consist of:
- Awareness Generation- This is done through the means of holding demonstrations and rallies and celebrating the World Environment Day on every 5th June, every year. This way we spread awareness among public on various environmental issues. To mark this day we hold various competitions and lectures in various educational institutions.
- Plantation- As a part of the Green Earth Initiative, we hold extensive plantation programmes for educational institutions and in rural areas.
- Recycling- We believe in optimum use of the limited valuable resources and tries with its heart and soul to implement the same at the workplace. It has been taking up the initiative of recycling and reusing every single stationary product from plastics, to papers and to metals. This way we are setting an example for the other organizations in the country.

| Women’s Empowerment |
The socio-economic empowerment of women has been one of the foremost agendas of the Ramky Foundation, which is being achieved through a number of effective programmes-
Economic Self-Reliance
- Coir Yarn Production Training Centers- In 2008, we had started two coir yarn production training centers at Dachepalli and Guntur, in A.P. Nearly 500 women had been trained in these centers in coir yarn production till now. The main aim of this programme is to ensure economic self-reliance among the women in these areas, by the means of starting their own small scale production units.
- Fashion Designing/ Sewing Centers- As a part of providing alternate livelihood to women, we started a sewing Center in Narsaraopet, Guntur Dist. A.P, on 30th May, 2008. The center had begun functioning with eighteen machines and eighty five trainees. All women were trained well and later started their own tailoring shops.
- Also, fashion designing cum sewing centers were inaugurated in Bonangi, Ramavaram and Kaekavalsa Division in Vizianagaram Dist. A.P in 2009, to help women there to become economically self-reliant.
Spreading Awareness
- CBWE- The women from the areas viz. Lingamguntla, Machavaram and Piduguralla, Gorijavolu, Thanam, Garalpadu, Champapet, Musapet, Dundigal, Thadi, and Visakhapatnam in A.P, had been trained by us, in association with the Central Board of Workers Education (CBWE). These trainings are designed to enhance their knowledge in the areas of education, awareness on food habits, health and hygiene, HIV and AIDS and also various Government schemes and programmes for them. Till now about 200 women have made use to this opportunity. Apart from this we have been sincerely monitoring the performance and growth of these trained women, and redesigning the capacity building measures wherever necessary.
- FNB- In association with the Food and Nutrition Board (FNB), we had imparted training to women in its operational areas about food and nutrition. This training has taught them to process low cost nutritious food items and low cost high calories food, and also identification of adulteration in food etc. This programme aims to ensure nutritional security to both women and their families.
- Anti-Trafficking and Domestic Violence- An awareness programme was held at Guntur in A.P, in 2008, to educate them about these rampant evils in the society and the means to combat them. About 2000 women had attended this programme.
